CHRISTIAN SERAFINI - Style Director
Born in a small village in Italy called Corridonia, Christian Serrafini started to work as a hairdresser in a local barber shop at the age of 15. After realizing that his dream was to create hair, he had bigger aspirations than were available in his small town, so he knew he had to move to a bigger city where he could learn from the masters in the industry and perfect his craft. At 18 years old he moved to London to study at the Toni & Guy Academy at the Covent Garden Salon where as a part of the session team. After several years, he expanded his horizons transferring with the company to Scotland where he worked as the Toni & Guy Art Director for one of their salons. After reaching the top of his field for the company, he moved to New York for a year to see the city, learn the American industry and continue to expand his skill set and find new inspiration. He was looking for a change and a new company when he returned to Italy and met international styling icon, Rossano Ferretti. He felt the instant connection to his philosophy and knew was his next career move. He took up residence at the Rossano Ferretti Hair School in Parma, Italy, living and studying with Lorenza Ferretti, Rossano's sister. He studied there for over 8 months before graduating and understanding the intensely different approach and technique of the Rossano Ferretti Metodo in beauty, cutting and styling. For the past decade he has worked as part of the Rossano Ferretti International team traveling to his salons where he worked as a master stylist in Madrid, Cancun, Miami, Dhoa, New York and in fall 2011 arrived in Beverly Hills to open the 20th Rossano Ferretti Hair Spa.
MICHELE FINESSI - Head Stylist
Michele Finessi, born in Ferrara, Italy, has always had a passion for hair. His mother owned a salon and during his childhood, you could usually find him in the salon after school. After graduating high school, Michele went to work for his mother in he salon, but only to sweep the floors and shampoo clients. But on the weekends, Michele did what he loved---cutting hair -- as he attended cosmetology school at Pivot Piont, in Ferrara. SUE YI - Colourist
Born in Seoul, South Korea, Sue Yi has always had a strong appreciation for color, beauty and precision and an artistic flare. She trained at Monterey Bay Beauty College where she realized that her passion was to transform beauty through hair and use color as her medium. Yi's philosophy is that each client is a canvas and using a variety of mixed color art methods, she can custom design beautiful natural colors. Rich, beautiful natural looking hair color makes her happy and Sue works hard to perfect her custom color palette with a wide range of natural hues that blend and compliment skin tones. Celebrity colourist, Gray, is known worldwide for his one-of-a-kind colouring techniques. After honing his creative skills at the world renowned Vidal Sassoon Academy in London he has achieved international status as an innovative and creative hair colourist and stylist. With more than 20 years in the beauty industry Gray has traveled extensively throughout the world creating runway and print styles for such names as Dolce and Gabbana, Donna Karen, Marc Jacobs, House of Sillage, Anine Bing, and Calvin Klein. Gray also had the opportunity to work and train at the legendary Van Michael Salons in Atlanta for over 12 years, where he held the honor of head Colourist for 6 years. Smitten by Southern California, Gray now calls L.A. home while continuing to travel back to the east coast monthly for his loyal client following. Gray is also a celebrity favorite creating original colour and styles for many high powered names including Meg Ryan, Stevie Nix, Kim Cattrall, Vinessa Shaw, Laura Benanti, Ana Mulvay-Ten, Krizia Bajos, Alyssa Diaz, Elton John, and many more. MICHAEL PETRELLI - Colourist
Michael Petrelli is a Southern California native, so it's no mystery why he is inspired by naturally sun-kissed beach blond looks. While he enjoys all aspects of hair color, his goal is to make hair shine with a warm and natural glow. Michael worked at the Louis Licari salon in Beverly Hills for 15 years, and was the Educational Director at the salon for 10 years. To keep his work fresh and creative outside the salon, Michael has worked on numerous photo shoots as well as in the entertainment industry, working with celebrities like Eva Mendez, Jodi Foster, Lindsay Lohan, and Angelina Jolie. Michael enjoys all aspects of visual art, from design, to painting, to fashion. Michael loves his work as a colorist, mainly for the opportunity to meet and build relationships with fascinating people.
JUDY KASAI - Colorist
Judy Kasai is a Los Angeles native who has been trained by many of the top colorists in the industry. Ever since she was in her early teens, she was mesmerized watching hair stylists cut and color hair. After high school, she went to beauty school in Santa Monica. After getting her license in 2002, she went through an apprenticeship at the Sally Hershberger @ John Frieda Salon. There, she has personally assisted, learned, and worked alongside master colorist, Lorri Goddard for many. Judy uses both balayage and foil highlighting techniques to create natural sun-kissed hair. She gets her inspiration from music and in nature.
CHRYSTAL HEWITT - Colorist
A native of Southern California, Chrystal Hewitt began her career in the beauty industry nine years ago when she immediately discovered her passion and flair for hair color. With many specialties including balayage and color correction, Chrystal gathers inspiration from the ever changing tides of fashion and the beauty found within her surroundings. Her bold yet delicate approach allows her to make dramatic changes while maintaining the integrity of the hair, which is one of many reasons why she is sought after by clients seeking a fresh new look for film projects or in their everyday life. Based in Los Angeles, she works with a sense of modest sophistication while creating elegant, refined, and versatile styles to meet the individual needs of each client.
Nathan Vega - Stylist
Growing up in fashion forward Angeles, Nathan always showed an interest in the aesthetics fashion, hair & make-up. At an early age Nathan struck his own fashion mold, setting himself apart from his peers in "school & social settings". Nathan began combing through magazines looking for the latest trends & styles, then incorporating them into his own eclectic style. Parma, Italy Is where Nathan landed to study cutting techniques at the Rossano Ferretti salon. Under the tutelage of the art director of the Rossano Ferretti Method technique, Lorenza Ferretti. While in Europe Nathan took advantage of all the European culture had to offer. Nathan realize the European way of life "less is more". Nathan realize something that Europeans have made a practice before they the house. A great hair style makes an pair of jeans and a t shirt look like they cost a fortune. "It's all about the hair" has become Nathan's mantra and he strives to make sure he is all about the hair. SALINA ALVARADO - Colorist
Growing up as a competitive dancer, Salina has always been a part of visual arts world. With her love of stage hair and makeup, her passion to be a part of the beauty industry continued to grow. At the age of 17 she attended her first day of cosmetology school. This is where her deep love for haircolor began, it was second nature. She has a strong understanding of the chemistry behind it, as well as a natural eye to best compliment skin tones and eye color. Over the past 7 years, Salina has studied under a few top colorists in the industry, striving to perfect formulations as well as the latest techniques, such as balyage (a french highliting technique used to create sunkissed looking highlites). She creates beautiful, natural looking color using the safest products on the market, specializing in INOA. This is Loreal Professionnel's first ammonia free permanent color.
